// Hannah turned seven months (WHAT?!) last week. It has been a busy/crazy/fun month with our little girl! And if you can't tell from the pictures above, Hannah is definitely getting some payback for Micah's playful, yet aggressive behavior with her early on (get him, girl! haha). Here are the highlights...

Weight/Height

The bathroom scale at home says she hasn't gained much this month as far as weight goes - still a little over 16lbs. I know she has at least gotten longer, because she has grown out of some outfits. But I think I remember that weight gain slows down around now once they start becoming more active (which she DEFINITELY has been!)

Sleep

Sleep is going great! Still taking two naps a day (unless we're out and about and then she may skip her morning nap) and sleeping a straight twelve hours at night.

Sizes

Size 3 diapers and 9 month clothing!

Eating

Nursing about 4-5 times per day, eating two "meals" (puréed baby food) during lunch and dinner and snacking (puffs, Cheerios) in-between. She has also learned to feed herself this month with her fingers, so that is another blessing! A busy mama of two definitely appreciates the little milestones like hand-eye coordination! ;)

Milestones

This month Hannah learned to crawl (army-style), feed herself puffs and Cheerios, and mimic sounds and actions (I raise my hands in the air and she attempts it too!) She's close to learning to wave too - she holds out her hand, now we just have to get the fingers moving! :) She now has four teeth - two bottom and two top. She is a very efficient xylophone player (or banger) and let's just say, her lungs have developed. There is no quiet at our house when the kids are awake.

Likes

Screaming (for joy, frustration, fear, hunger, pretty much everything), crawling, food (especially the kind she can feed herself), music, being held and talked to all the day long.

Dislikes

Being tickled! She cries instead of laughing! Poor thing. And currently, Micah is going through a phase where he loves tickling her. Oops.

Things I Don’t Want to Forget

We took Hannah to Disney for the first time this month and she absolutely loved it! She did so well! I am so proud of how easygoing and flexible she is. She had a great time and enjoyed all the characters and the rides that we went on as family. I wasn't expecting it to be as easy as it was - but we had no meltdowns or anything. So that is definitely something I want to remember! :)

// Here we are... a week late, but another update! Hope you guys liked those pics of Micah and Hannah above. Let's just say, you take what you can get at this point! ;) Micah just woke up from a nap... and I may have bribed him with fruit snacks. :) #reallife #theyarestillcute

Weight/Height

She is 16.2lbs (60th percentile) and 26.5in (75th percentile). So far she is ahead of where Micah was on the growth chart at this age! I keep saying this, but if she keeps it up they may start looking more like TWINS. ha!

Sleep

This month has been GLORIOUS as far as sleep goes. Hannah is taking two great (2+ hour) naps during the day and sleeping ALL NIGHT (insert praying hands emoji) - 8:30pm to around 8:00am the next morning. Sometimes I will answer a middle of the night cry, but I don't mind. I am always up for a little snuggle. ;)

Sizes

Size 3 diapers and 6-9 month clothing.

Eating

Still nursing. Although, it has decreased to about 5 times per day since we introduced solids. And boy, let me tell you, she LOVES her some baby food. I mean, she can't get enough. It's actually quite funny to watch her eat. She gets hysterical around dinner time if we are eating and she isn't. HAHA. I have to make sure I have her baby food already sitting beside us at the dinner table ready for her. I'm going to slowly start introducing a variety of foods and letting her eat alongside us, like I did with Micah, as she develops more motor skills in grasping and putting things in her mouth. But right now she is eating peaches, bananas, sweet potatoes, apples - all with a little rice cereal mixed in.

Milestones

This month was all about the TEETH. She got her two bottom teeth a few days after she turned 5 months! I felt like they came out of nowhere. One day, after much drooling and fussiness, I looked inside her mouth and saw two white spots under the skin. The next day, the first tooth broke through! The next one came within the week. She is also rolling everywhere lately and sitting up very sturdily by herself. She is also trying to scoot herself towards things by doing this back arch thing where she can, literally, arch her back and plop a few inches backwards. It's kinda scary when on the changing table. Besides all the moving around, she is grabbing, chewing and laughing at everything in sight. Also, she's starting to babble a lot more syllables. Josh is certain he heard, "dada." Of course. ;)

Likes

Being with people, listening to music, watching our dog, Heidi, and her very entertaining big brother. :)

Dislikes

She dislikes being the only one NOT EATING at dinner time. hahahaha

Things I Don’t Want to Forget

I don't want to forget how beautiful and sweet her personality is. She is absolutely adoring of everyone and everything. My heart is just overwhelmed sometimes at the amount of love I have for both of my little ones. I am honored that Jesus has chosen us to be their caretakers. She is growing so fast and I absolutely want to remember every detail. I said this on an Instagram post recently, but this month is one of my favorite milestones. I really feel like Hannah is starting to develop her personality and grow into herself a little more. She is an absolute joy for us!

Past updates: 1 month 2 months | 4 months

// SERIOUSLY. FIVE MONTHS. WHAT. I'm having a hard time processing that Hannah is already 5 months old! I mean, that is almost half a YEAR. I'm almost thinking about having another one... hahaha kidding. Kinda. No, really I am kidding. Let's move on...

Weight/Height

According to the bathroom scale she is a little over 16lbs. I wouldn't doubt it. Baby girl is definitely growing! She was almost 15lbs last month, so I guess we will see officially at her appointment next month. :)

Sleep

We've experienced the infamous sleep regression this month. And I am now a coffee drinker (no joke). Earlier this month she started waking up every two hours throughout the night, until I finally gave up (around 4am) and brought her to my bed so I could catch some zzzz's. Then just the past week, she's been doing better. Only waking up 1-2 times at night. I think a lot of it has to do with a growth spurt. Micah went through this around the same age and then magically started sleeping 10-11 hours at night after, so I'm praying for the same!

Sizes

She is still in size 3 diapers and wearing 6 month clothing.

Eating

Nursing is still going well! Praise the Lord. I did start her on rice cereal this month - but only giving it to her occasionally. I thought maybe the waking in the middle of the night was due to her not getting enough food. But it hasn't seemed to do much as far as her sleep goes. I did give her about a quarter of a mashed up banana for the first time a couple days ago! She absolutely LOVED it. Cried for more even. I'm excited to keep introducing more foods!

Milestones

Big girl is learning to sit up all by herself! She is still a little wobbly, so I only let her sit up on the bed or with a boppy around her. But I can tell it's a whole new world for her when she's sitting up! She also technically CAN roll over from her back to tummy and tummy to back, but she doesn't choose to very often. She is grabbing and holding on to everything. She reaches for toys and opens her mouth and leans forward for food.

Likes

Pacifier, sitting in her walker, chewing on toys, sitting up and watching Mickey Mouse with her brother.

Dislikes

She really doesn't like to be alone. If I leave her in a room by herself, she will cry and cry until I come get her. Besides that, not a lot seems to bother her. She is even enjoying car rides a lot more these days too. :)

Things I Don’t Want to Forget

I love how sweet Micah is to her. He absolutely adores his little sister (and if you can't tell from the pictures above, she adores him too!) When she was really little, he would test his limits by slapping her. But lately, he is so gentle and loving with her. Giving her kisses and saying, "I love you, Hannah" randomly. It's soooo sweet. I also love the way she smiles when she catches my eye. Every single time. It melts my heart. I continue to feel so very blessed to be her mama and watch her grow. Thank you Jesus for these little blessings.

I definitely think they are starting to look more unique as the months go on. Besides their cute bald heads, they have a lot of different features. Seeing that Micah is now a clone of his daddy, maybe this means baby girl will look more like her mama! We'll see! So fun to watch them grow. ;)
